Your Question

Q: Braces or Aligners? What’s best for me and for my teeth?

Answer

A: Speed, Price, Looks.

Your answer is in those 3 words. Let’s try to answer them together.

1- Speed: Braces deliver Faster results than Aligners. Why?

Metal used for braces is much more powerful than plastic used for aligners.

Braces work all the time. Aligners stop working when they are removed for eating, resting, etc….

Braces work 24 hours a day non stop, because they are glued to the teeth. Aligners work less than 24 hours a day as they are frequently removed for eating, teeth brushing and every time the patient decides to “take a break” for some personal reasons; when the aligner is removed by the patient, teeth stop moving towards the wanted alignment direction, and they tend to move back to their unwanted previous misalignment position, which makes the treatment twice slower. That’s why Braces are Faster.

2- Price: Braces are Cheaper than Aligners. Why?

Braces need only the Orthodontist who needs no one else to align the teeth.

Aligners need the Orthodontist who needs an Orthodontic Laboratory Technician who makes the Aligners.

No extra cost for the Braces. Extra cost for the Aligners.

The Orthodontist using aligners needs to charge the patient an extra fee to pay the Orthodontic Laboratory for the aligners. That’s why Braces are Cheaper.

3- Looks: We’ll let you decide on this one. Here are some hints to help you.

Braces are very visible. Aligners are barely visible, almost totally invisible from a certain social distance.

Braces are totally rejected by some, for aesthetic reasons; for others, Braces are trendy and colorful as they can change the rubber color each time they visit for adjustment.

Speed? Price? Looks? What is YOUR priority? That’s where YOUR answer is.

Keep Smiling.
